KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must have expert knowledge of the OpenShift Platform and PaaS Infrastructure
Various Application Architectures (Web, Micro-Services, Batch)
Various Application Programming Languages (Java, JavaScript-angular.js, Python, .NET)
Architecture of the OpenShift Container Platform
Create custom Linux Containers supported by Open Container Initiative (i.e. Docker)
Manage container image repositories in support of Linux Containers
Deploy OpenShift Container Platform in both public and private cloud
Engineer and automate application deployment via CI/CD Pipelines using industry best practices and open source software
Automate the creation of Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure using industry standard tools such as Ansible and Red Hat CloudForms
Troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues in OpenShift Container Platform infrastructure
Communicate with designated personnel by phone and email concerning the details of the issue, expected resolution, and root cause analysis
Research problems as well as contact and escalate issues with third party hardware/software providers
Knowledge of a software development lifecycle that includes development, validation, integration, training and production
REQUIRED
2+ years of experience supporting mission critical production applications
2+ years of experience supporting containers Dockers applications
2+ years of experience in Docker, Kubernetes
Keys to the role:
Cloud-focused role
Must be able to write cloud formation templates and work with developers to ensure they are able to create Docker images
Candidate should have hands on expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, Docker container management
Application is in .NET
Candidate should be able to develop as well as mentor other resources within the team
