Position: AWS Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 6+ Months

Accepted Visa: USC /GC / H1B / EAD - GC & TN

Roles & Responsibilities:

Security Engineer will architect all aspects of information security that comprise the organizations computing environment which includes the Host, Enterprise Network platforms, and all direct, remote, and Internet connections to these platforms as well as be familiar with:

Lambda Responder Scripts to remediate compliance issues

Sharing Security Responsibility for AWS Services

AWS security frameworks and standards

Terraform to deploy Logging and Monitoring environments

Security Group Auditing and Blacklisting code

Data Protection Templates

IAM policies for applications

Be a DevOps guru - work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the development lifecycle.

Dive deep into the software stack to troubleshoot as needed. Provide production support coverage.

Build engineering automation and productivity tools to streamline and scale applications in the production

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment and operations.

Build from the ground up reliable infrastructure services in AWS to deliver highly available and scalable services.

Use native AWS infrastructure services such as EC2, EBS, Auto Scaling, Cloudwatch, etc.

Essential Skills:

Analyze and recommend appropriate security safeguards to be included during development of new data processing systems to ensure integrity and security of corporate data, operating systems and applications.

Work with IT leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified

Provide guidance on network infrastructure and implementation of routers, switches, firewalls, and associated
network equipment and security concepts.

Conduct periodic network scans to identify vulnerabilities, and provide guidance and assistance with the
remediation process.

Document security designs.

Develop and/or recommend data security tools and information system security policies and procedures.

Perform risk assessments, conduct regulatory compliance reviews, and coordinate the investigation of information
security incidents.

Develop, implement, and maintain an information system security program that ensures the confidentiality, integrity,
and availability of information system resources.

Monitor and evaluate security of computer and data processing systems throughout the organization and make
recommendations to decrease vulnerability of systems when applicable.

Review all relevant information technology changes for information security implications and report findings to the

Plan, organize, and conduct ongoing Security Awareness training.

Plan, organize and conduct ongoing kubernetes and AWS EKS security guidelines that includes on premise to
cloud provider.

At least 5 years of experience in key AWS services - EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, VPC, ElastiCache, CloudFormation,
CloudWatch, AWS Route 53, CloudFront, SNS, Amazon Identity and Access Management, Network routings,
clustering, VPC, subnets etc.

In-depth knowledge of scripting skills, infrastructure development languages Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Python,

In-depth knowledge of design, implementation, engineering, automation and devops implementation, service
operation and service improvement initiatives

Experience of On premise / other cloud providers to AWS cloud migration using cloud migration tools,

At least 3 years of experience using Devops CI and CD tools - VSTS, Artifactory, Jenkins, Bamboo, GIT, Ant,
Maven, Ansible, Python Scripting, Shell scripting, CHEF , Dockers, JIRA etc

Change management, AWS Cloud knowledge and production support activities

Strong understanding of LINUX Operating system and adept in any of the scripting languages like shell, awk, perl,
Python, Bash etc.

Understanding of container technology and container orchestration platforms.

Proven experience of working in agile methodologies and software development lifecycle process

Proven experience assessing clients’ workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability

Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel

Advanced knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment concepts (Jenkins)

Proven data management experience and ability

Maintain performance metrics and monitoring for microservices architecture and operations environment

Demonstrate DevOps concepts to customers and IPT members

Provide customer communications to manage expectations and schedule coordination

Troubleshoot build failures, environment issues and technical blockers with appropriate team members

Define and maintain Configuration Management (CM) procedures and monitor adherence of CM procedures, all other
duties as assigned or directed
