Summary of Work (Include a brief summary of work to be completed by contractor)

Infrastructure & Cloud Architect will be part of a highly collaborative team accountable for defining and driving our enterprise public cloud migration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as subject matter expert on AWS and other cloud providers.

Provide end-to-end solution expertise to determine best architecture and cloud services to meet the business requirements.

Work with business units, application team, security, and IT to design and build applications and services within AWS and/or other cloud providers.

Provide guidance implement best DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment.

Document processes and procedures in managing and securing infrastructure making sure best practices are always followed.

Collaborate with other architects both at the division and the enterprise level to implement an effective CI/CD pipeline.

Contribute to the refinement/execution of a Cloud Migration framework which can be consumed by various Application teams.

Work with in-house cloud security experts to implement a security framework that satisfies Industry & Compliance standards for implementing cloud solutions in public clouds.

Required Qualifications

1. AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional.

2. Strong AWS architecture design experience.

3. Extensive experience architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment.

4. In-depth knowledge of the primary AWS services (VPC,EC2, ELB, RDS,IAM, CloudWatch, Route53 & S3

5. Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments.

6. Experience leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments.

7. Extensive experience interacting with an infrastructure via the AWS CLI.

8. Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc) preferred.

9. Strong scripting skills (e.g. Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc

10. Experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services.

11. Experience working with cloud security and governance tools

12. Good understanding of enterprise architecture and operational procedures such as availability, recovery, archiving etc.

13. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong Pluses:

1. Containerization experience.

2. Micro services experience.

3. Other Cloud Certifications (DevOps, Specialty cetrifications

4. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
