Job Description :
Responsibilities include:
Architect, Design and build systems in AWS Cloud
Perform analysis on existing applications and systems to determine suitability to migrate to the cloud
Understand customer business needs, conduct technical discussions and document business requirements
Perform deep dive analysis on Applications to be migrated and recommend remediations for strategic and tactical wins
Lead the design and implementation of AWS solutions
Lead client-facing technical activities to ensure required business value is delivered
Provide technical oversight, review and quality control of technical artifacts throughout the project
Migration of existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services.
Reengineering/Remediating existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services and microservices architecture.
Understanding customer requirements, and proposing and delivering custom solutions
Act as an escalation point, supporting engineering teams for technical issues and decisions.
Optimize cloud deployments using partner tools example CloudHealth
Customer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer’s environment
Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc
Key Skills:
12+ years Industry experience, 6+ years Application Architecture and Design, 3+ AWS design and Implementation experience
AWS Cloud Architect Certifications Preferred
Advanced knowledge of the primary AWS services
Experience with C++, Java, messaging and databases (Cassandra, MySQL)
Experience with containers and microservices and re-architecting current applications to microservices architecture
Leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments.
Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. Ansible, Terraform
Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet.
Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
IT Advisory services and Consulting skills.
Nice to have: Experience with cloud migration tools (Cloudamize, Racemi, Appzero, etc.
