Need AS400 Developer (DB2/400, CLP & CL/400, RPG & RPGLE, UC4)
Location: Raleigh, NC
Contract : 6-12 Months
Job Description:
8 years of design, development, and support experience on AS/400 technologies (DB2/400, CLP & CL/400, RPG & RPGLE, UC4)
Query/400Experience with ILE Advanced concepts (Procedures, Service programs, Functions, Free RPG coding syntax)
Experience with complex SQL concepts and programming Experience with FTP concepts and automation
Experience in creating, building and maintaining different libraries in AS/400 environment
Excellent understanding of Database, DDS, sub-files, RPG III or later & RPGLE programming concepts
Excellent understanding of CL & OS/400 commands. CL and CLLE Programming skills for automation
In-depth knowledge on SQL/400 and other AS/400 utilities
Develop / modify functionality within an established application framework – Individually
Develop unit test plans and conduct unit test as per test plans
Provide estimates for completion of Developer Technical Design Documents
Hands-on experience working within an enterprise wide datacenter environment is desired
Any experience in Web services or Application Integration or Modernization area on AS/400 would be an added advantage
Client facing skills/experience a plus
Development experience in all phases of SDLC, especially in the areas of complex solution design & trouble shooting.
