Our client, a global investment bank, is looking for a Consultant who is a Support Analyst to join their Production Services Financial Services team in NYC. The role covers the day-to-day support of Settlement systems working in collaboration with global stakeholders and regional teams.
Responsibilities will include:
Deal with support escalations from Level 1 team, including complex user and monitoring support queries, limiting escalations to L3 teams.
Provide hands on support to Operations and Settlement systems
Planning/execution of proactive non-ticket tasks (automation or tool implementations)
Provide user query support/monitoring support queries, with as minimal as possible escalations to development teams
Provide batch support, health checks at the start of the day/end of the day
Create, update, amend relevant production support documentation
Use firm''s standard support tools and processes
Provide weekend support related activities on rotation basis
Deploy code/configuration change/releases into the pre & production environments
THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB:
Must have strong Unix/Linux command skills
Must have strong SQL Query experience
Hands-on IT support experience of Investment Banking systems is required. Middle Office systems, Settlement systems is a big plus. along with Broadridge BPS, but not required.
Knowledge of scheduling tools – Autosys
Monitoring software and maintaining\improving rule bases
Hands-on experience with Remedy or Service Now - Desirable
Hands on support knowledge of middleware tools (MQ, Tibco) will be a plus
