Role Description:
This role will be working with and for our partner Apigee. Apigee’s Edge is an advanced API platform that enables enterprises to create, manage, secure and scale APIs. Using Apigee, enterprises can design and deploy API proxies in public and private clouds, secure data in transit with OAuth 2.0, SAML and two-way TLS, protect against traffic spikes by adding dynamic routing, caching and rate-limiting policies to APIs, and measure the success of both API operations and API business with end-to-end analytics. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help businesses of all sizes leverage technology to connect with customers, employees and partners.
As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be the primary technical point of contact with our customers on Apigee implementations. You''ll guide customers through product implementation and will serve as the customer''s primary source for expertise on all Apigee products and implementation to achieve customer''s’ project goals. Resource will be trained in Apigee architecture, methodology, capabilities, and accelerators for delivering client blueprint, Accelerate, and Day 0 engagements followed by shadowing Apigee resources during actual deliveries. Upon completion of knowledge transfer, resource will lead architecture blueprint, Accelerate, and Day 0 engagements for client delivery(s) shadowed by Apigee resources for QA and feedback. Objective is to become familiar and capable to independently lead architecture engagements on behalf of Apigee.

Experience Requirements:
Requires Apigee Engineer (Developer) Certification
Good client executive level communication skills to expand on listening skills
Familiarity with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) system admin
Understanding of HTTP specification, REST, JSON and XML
Understanding of TLS, certificates, keystore and truststore.
Understanding of eventual consistency data replication
Understanding of system monitoring (OS, CPU, Memory, network)
Understanding of shell script
Familiarity with python (nice to have)
Familiarity with Java application installation and administration
Familiarity with Java application monitoring (i.e. JMX)
Familiarity with Cassandra, Zookeeper, Qpid, Postgres and MySQL installation and configuration (nice to have)
Ability to distill complex requirements

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience architecting and implementing API and integration technologies in a distributed, server-based enterprise-class environment using a combination of technologies such as REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, OpenAPI, JavaScript, Python, J2EE, Java, Node.js, Nginx, Cassandra, etc.
Experience with cloud hosting, architectural principles in security, distributed computing, and Developer Operations experience, such as: Linux Administration, Git, Chef, Puppet, Maven, Ansible, etc.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience with private, public and hybrid cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization and global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing and networking, and security.
Development experience using Google or other cloud products.
Solid understanding of public clouds (i.e. Google Cloud Platform, AWS
Proven ability to facilitate development and communication of robust solutions to technical and business stakeholders with strong listening, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
Ability to collaborate, build consensus, and drive technical decisions with customer stakeholders while communicating risks in a timely manner and providing mitigating solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead workshops covering Google Edge platform and RestFUL API architecting and design best practices.
Deliver API workshops and client engagements end to end from educating the client to requirements capture to go live.
Mentor customers in Agile best practice for the Scrum Master and Product Owner roles.
Own budget, risk, resource and customer account management.
Communicate the Edge Accelerator Methodology
