Our direct client is looking for a Sr. IBM WMB/IIB Middleware Consultant for a Long Term Contract in Harrisburg, PA.
Job Description:
- The consultant for the IBM Integration Bus (IIB) formerly known as WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) will be responsible for documenting, maintaining and dynamically building simulated message to test IIB flows and message models.
- The WMB/IIB consultant is also responsible for troubleshooting issues and assisting with code reviews to ensure optimal solutions are being delivered.
- The WMB/IIB Consultant will be involved with on-going maintenance and production support of client’s applications internal and external interfaces.
- The consultant is required to have strong IBM Integration Business and WebSphere MQ technology skills in order to provide architecture and design solutions in the areas of Information Integration Architecture and Governance.
- The consultant will ensure Service implementation consistency, speed of delivery, and promote reuse through creation of reusable middleware assets.

- Provide subject matter expertise based on past experiences of SOA and ESB implementations
- Expert level experience working with Message Sets, various IIB nodes, mediations and mediation flows.
SKILLS MATRIX:
- Experience in deep understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) architecture and concepts - Required - 8 Years
- 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study - Highly desired
- IIB and MQ administration experience - Required - 8 Years
- Provide subject matter expertise based on past experiences of SOA and ESB implementations - Required
- Expert level experience working with Message Sets, various IIB nodes, mediations and mediation flows - Required
- Experience working with MQ v8 and IIB v10 - Required
- Experience creating, performance tuning, and troubleshooting message flows - Required
- Experience with XML and XML Schema. Deep understanding of XML schema concepts and XPath - Required
- Experience in creating, performance tuning, and troubleshooting message flows using Soap UI and setting up debug ports to do an end-end test - Required
- Experience on SSL setup for any new application connecting to MQ/IIB. SSL Certificate upload. Key Store and Trust Store set up - Required
- Experience in MQ clustering, MQ/IIB HA (High Availability) setup - Required
- MQ objects creation like Queues, Topic, Subscription, Channels, Remote Queue definition, CCDT & Bindings file generation etc - Required
- Experience with web services and RESTful Services (JSON and XML), SOAP using WMB/WESB/IIB - Required
- New ODBC/JDBC driver or any other software configurations as required with the projects - Required
- Experience backing up the IIB and QMGR configuration during version upgrades and restoring the backup post upgrade - Required
- Experience working on DR testing - Required
- Experience with IBM Datapower version 7.2 or higher - Required
- Experience in setting up Tivoli Monitor alerts for IIB and MQ - Required
- Experience in working with Databases such as Oracle & SQL server - Required
- Experience in writing UNIX/Linux Shell Scripts using commands like awk, sed, tcsh, bash, ksh and perl to automate system admin jobs- Required
- IIB and MQ troubleshooting. Analyzing logs and opening PMR’s for critical issues. Working with IBM Support by generating trace files - Required
- Experience in working in UNIX/Linux environments, zLinux SLES environment - Nice to have
- Experience in administering WebSphere Application Server & web server - Nice to have
