Our direct client is looking for a Project Manager for a Long term contract in Richmond, VA
Job Description:
- A project manager is needed to manage projects that will implement new systems, including body camera and cardinal implementations.
- R esponsible for managing the project scope, schedule and budget and reporting to client''s IT management on a weekly basis.
- For COTS solutions, the project manager will oversee the vendor efforts on the design, development and implementation of the system and will coordinate with IT Division and business unit staff as needed.
- Responsible for the identification, analysis, tracking and recommending appropriate actions to project issues including those that are technology related. They will also be responsible for the identification and management of project risks.
- Provide overall direction to the vendor on the design, development, implementation and delivery of legacy replacement systems.
- In general, responsible for the coordination and completion of the assigned projects.
- Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing, and to work with multiple stakeholders and facilitate collaboration between vendor and IT Division staff.
SKILLS MATRIX:
- Experience in the field or in a related area - Required - 8-11 years
- Review, analyze and evaluate user/system needs - Required - 7 Years
- Business processes Re-engineering - Desired - 5 Years
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and XL - Required - 5 Years
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects lasting 6 to 12 months, with teams of 3 to 4 people - Required - 10 Years
- Demonstrated ability to train and support end users - Required - 5 Years
- Extensive knowledge of applications development (minimum of 5 years experience) some of which in a project leadership or PM position - MUST
- Experience overseeing the implementation of a large complex application by a vendor. - MUST
- PMP or Commonwealth Project Management Certification - Highly Desired
