Description :
Responsible for supporting z/OS mainframe operating systems software environment across multiple LPAR''s.
Installing, maintaining, and upgrading all system software including third-party software.
This position will also provide on-call duties handling day to day support issues, system monitoring, and operations support and client interaction. Diagnostic analysis and debugging, client requests, and disaster recovery testing events.
Perform mainframe communications software upgrades (Zos)
Responsible for network and mainframe problem resolution
Responsible for installation and support of 3rd party software

Extensive experience working with z/OS, v/OS, TCP/IP, major program product installations,
In-depth experience with the mainframe z/OS operating system, its subsystems and related program products
Individual will be required to provide Production 24/7 coverage (if required) and support weekend implementations.
Leadership abilities; planning and leading projects
Experience with Workload Manager (WLM), Parallel Sysplex, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of common IBM and third-party mainframe system software products.
Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
The ability to shuffle priorities in response to a changing workload.
The ability to keep up with changing technology.
MUST have strong Workload Manager (WLM) experience.
This is not a Programmer. They will be Capacity planning, Installation, hardware software upgrades, Automating operations etc.
