Senior Java Developer
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 12+Months Contract
Job Description: Senior IT Developers are responsible for development, programming, coding of Information Technology solutions. Senior IT Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. Senior IT Developers are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application. Senior IT Developers lead efforts, oversee work results, provide training and serve as a technical resource for other Developers.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years minimum of development
2+ years of Node AND React JS Development
Adept with the other standard UI Dev stack including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, etc.
2+ years of developing web services
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience IT related field
Experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures
Proficiency using versioning tools
Thorough knowledge of Information Technology fields and computer systems
Self-managing and ability to lead project solution end-to-end
Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance
Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle
Proficiency programming in more than one object oriented programming language
Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio
Proficiency using debugging tools
High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
Experience mentoring / or leading other development staff
Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness
Experience in building Microservices on multiple platforms like Java,.NET, Python, Node.js
Working Knowledge of building MERN full stack web apps
Working knowledge of data integration and processing including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
Working knowledge on middleware architectures likes ESB, Event Bus, Kafka etc. is a plus
Proficiency in one of no-sql database engines
Proficiency in working with REST platform and security protocols
Working experience and understanding of OpenShift platform
