Technical Project Manager:

Responsibilities


Managing Feature Rollouts in a fast-paced, agile environment, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure successful product and feature launches
Working closely with brand teams to scope projects.
Working closely with the assigned engineers to clearly understand the assumptions, background and risks for all allocated pieces of delivery.
Manage client expectations within the confines of the allocated delivery projects – defining internal and external roles and responsibilities at project kick-off and ensuring communication is open, transparent and in line with the agreed communication plan.
Monitoring the project team, ensuring that tasks are allocated and delivered according to the plan and escalate where a deviation to plan is likely.
Being aware of all decisions made throughout a project lifecycle -understanding potential impact to the timescale and raise issues/concerns where appropriate.
Maintaining regular client and production team meetings and where relevant 3rd party communication at all times ensuring that all methods of communication identified are provided when agreed.
Ensuring the best use of resources at all times and is in line with the agreed delivery plan.
Acting as the guardian of all project documentation and client deliverables – ensure that all documentation and deliverables are consistent and fit for purpose before being sent to the clients for review.
Escalating issues/concerns immediately in order to avert projects running over time/budget.
Track progress, risks, and negotiate deadlines.
Check that requests have been completed within the agreed briefing documentation.




Qualifications

Minimum requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in Technology related field or equivalent technical experience, e.g., software development or managing software projects.
8+ years of experience in software development and full product life-cycles
Strong knowledge of website development, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability
Experience in delivering/producing digital projects.
Comfortable working in both Waterfall and Agile frameworks
Previous hands-on experience building websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other JS frameworks.
Experience with CMS – Drupal preferred.
Experience using project management tools - Jira and HipChat.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
Strong influencing skills with the ability to facilitate successful product launches, increase the performance of existing products, introduce new business models, and evolve the business
Experience with offshore/nearshore/onshore model a big plus.




Preferred qualifications:


PMP certification
