Job Description:

Primary responsibility:

8+ years of technical project management experience with at least 3 years in an Agile software development environment leading Scrum teams
Certified Scrum Master certification is preferred
Familiarity with Agile (iterative development)/Scrum practices and values
Demonstrated skills with project management tools and methodologies, facilitation (discussion, decision making, conflict resolution, negotiation, etc and problem solving
Understanding of backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity and task definition
Ability to understand, track, drill-down and question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon that data
Ability to ask pertinent questions on areas of little knowledge or experience
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers
Ability to motivate and act as a coach for the Scrum team, fostering self-organization
Ability to provide clear and consistent instructions to team members
Knowledge and ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, email and Internet software
Advanced Excel skills and High-energy self-starter/team player
Monitor and support scrum teams through continuous improvement of agile execution
Direct and manage work items of varying size and complexity under the direction of the Project Management Office
Act as liaison between the work team and Product Owner
Monitor Sprint Backlogs for the work team
Organize and facilitate planning meetings, scrum meetings, Retrospective meetings, and other meetings as required
Maintain project status notes and action items
Ensure transparency on status and issues related to work items
Provide follow up on open action items
Identify and work to remove impediments to work items
Track/publish discussion items through meeting notes
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with the ITS Stakeholders and project team members
Prepare status presentations for management


·         Must be extremely familiar with Agile Processes and Tools like JIRA and SNOW.

·         8+ Years of Industry Experience

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills;

·         Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills;

·         Ability to work independently and lead teams

·         In-depth understanding of various software development lifecycle methodologies including a MUST have working knowledge of Agile techniques.

·         Strong knowledge of JIRA,MS Office, Visio and MS Project;

Prior experience in a Government organization is a plus
