Requirements:
Provide second level of technical support of DNS a timely manner with an acceptable level of quality.
Provide DNS record maintenance, and other related duties
Maintain and update documentation on all processes and procedures.
Work with vendors and internal support teams to update, maintain, and patch systems infrastructure
Serve as a DNS solutions subject matter expert to internal clients.
Work closely with network engineering teams to ensure that DNS records are maintained accurately.
Work with Project Management, Network teams, and System build teams to supply new projects and initiatives.
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of network technologies, principles, and protocols (subnets, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DNSSEC firewalls, routers, switches, IPv4, IPv6, etc
Experience with BIND, InfoBlox,
Knowledgeable in the following OS: UNIX (Solaris), Windows, Linux
Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise professional manner
Experience defining processes and procedures within organizations
Ability to function well in an environment of multiple high priorities and implementation requirements
Experience in PERL, Shell Scripting and regular expressions
Understanding of organizations such as ARIN, GoDaddy, and Network Solutions
Experience supporting GSLB, mitigating DDoS, whitelisting and blacklisting a bonus
Demonstrates advanced analytical skills for resolution of the most complex technical problems, and report preparation
Experience in software installation and systems maintenance
Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Experience in service providers a plus
