Experience architecting software solutions, web-based, with strong focus on interoperability ;
-Experience with systems engineering tools and representations (e.g., NoMagic, SysML, UML, or similar) including processing of structured data and models (e.g., XML);
-Experience designing performance and scalability testing
-Demonstrable track record of software development into product
-Excellent communication skills and assertiveness (strong coordination and relational skills to deal with customers, authorities, internal and external partners);
-Passion for increasing productivity of engineering teams and knowledge of the aerospace industry
-Prior experience in at least one of the following areas: commercial or military aircraft, drones, helicopters, launch vehicles, satellites and/or general cyber-physical systems is a plus
Education and/or Experience
Typically, 10+ years within Information Technology with a concentration on Application Architecture.
MS or PhD in a technical discipline such as Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering Computer Science or equivalent preferred
5+ years of relevant Architecture, systems integration and/or implementation experience
Technology Skills
Strong understanding of business requirements and needs across aerospace and satellite design domain
Strong experience with design and implementation of standard Enterprise Architecture artifacts for MBSE
Strong knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering approaches, methods, techniques and tools and languages like OpenMeta, MagicDraw/Cameo and UML/SysML
Experience in system engineering development, integration, tradeoff studies, simulation and analysis.
Manage and govern the architecture across the IT landscape and assigned projects from a design perspective for the Applications domain.
Knowledge of with new emerging technologies like Graph Database, OSLC standards, NoSQL DB,Analytics,
Key Functions
Develop enterprise and system of systems (SoS) architectures using state-of-the art modeling techniques and tools for system engineering
Ability to design complex systems that impact multiple infrastructure domains across IT Operations and Development teams while accounting for security considerations
Demonstrate ownership of the design aspects of the operations lifecycle
Deliver high quality architectural artifacts which clearly explain design decisions related to the specific domain.
Contribute to appropriate enterprise and solution architecture artifacts.
Ability to mentor others in the production of all artifacts required for building solutions to address business challenges
Knowledge of MBSE approaches, methods and techniques applied to the development of integration of enterprise and system level architecture products
Create artifacts representing the best fit to the business needs across business process, support, time and cost dimensions, taking into consideration any existing assets within the specified domain and the Enterprise Architecture view
Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
