Job Description:


Seeking an energetic and passionate Cyber Security Vulnerability Analyst to support emerging and existing programs.
Responsible for conducting vulnerability assessment scans, assisting with penetration testing, exposing security vulnerabilities and risks, and recommending solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities
Contributes to building and delivering services, solutions and processes, that enable security defects to be found, fixed or avoided
Understands the landscape of cyber security through knowledge of emerging threat vectors and current mitigations techniques
Defines customer and DataPath Cyber Security Operation Centre workflows and processes (policy and plan) for vulnerability management and remediation efforts
Provide input on priority in order to guide remediation efforts and improve detection methods and capabilities required for situational awareness
Engage with business and system owners to coordinate testing of new or configuration changes as needed
Act as Cybersecurity liaison to the team maintaining an awareness of threats, trends, and research for evolving threats
Communicate current Cybersecurity threats and educate stakeholders on risks and recommendations.
Remain agile with shift and task assignments




Academic/Experience/Competency:


BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience. Understanding of information security subjects.
Knowledge of security policies and interprets policies. Understanding of a specific security application or tool and how it works.
Proven experience regarding Vulnerability Management, working with vulnerability scanner architecture, operations and configuration.
Demonstrated experience of security event monitoring concepts and escalation processes.
Strong knowledge of enterprise IT concepts, processes, and priorities.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving security issues. 
Organization skills to balance and prioritize work. 
Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members. 
Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and problem-solving skills. 
Recognize the differences and methods to prevent, detection and respond to potential security threats.
Knowledge of service and change control processes and how it works.
Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, and incident response.
Technical proficiency with security-related systems and applications, especially experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures.




Business Experience: 3 to 5 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, applications development, database design and administration; one to two years of experience with information security



Daily Tasks Performed: Prioritize 5-8 Duties/Responsibilities

Tracks public and privately released vulnerabilities and assists in the triage process including identification, criticality evaluation, remediation planning, communications, and resolution

Understand, review, and interpret vulnerability assessment and scanning results, reduce false positive findings, and act as security advisor to business unit partners

Prepares reports on vulnerability and/or penetration testing and works with clients to develop remediation plans
