Job Description :

Role: QA Automation Engineer

Location: Gaithersburg, MD

Duration: 6+ Months

Interview: Phone/Skype but local will be preferred

Visa: GC EAD, GC, USC, TN Visa Only

Responsibilities:

Design and develop test plans & procedures, and execute tests for integrating & qualifying software releases for satellite based communication systems
Provide warranty support to HNS customers for such satellite based communication systems deployed in different countries
Design & Develop test automation tools using Python, Perl, Selenium, REST API and UNIX Shell scripts
Perform tasks such as log collection, log analysis, debugging, issues tracking & reporting, user documentation
Interface with customers for issues debugging and providing solution in coordination with the SW development team
Maintain qualification test setups in lab
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Work on multiple projects, handle multi-tasking
Able to integrate communication products from different vendors with HNS developed systems
Work with different HNS teams, vendors & customers located in different time zones

Basic Requirements:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
5+ years of hands-on experience in systems integration, testing, networking and automation in telecom lab environment
3 or more years of experience in Python, Matplotlib and UNIX/Linux scripting

Preferred Qualifications:

MS in Electrical Engineering or related degree
Familiarity with 3G and 4G architecture
Experience with automation tools such as Selenium
Experience with REST API
Experience in Perl scripting
Knowledge of Java, JavaScript & J2EE technologies
Knowledge of MySQL and Oracle database environment
