Overview:
QA Analyst will primarily test and automate web application. The candidate will support testing of new change to web application in strategic projects and in operations including data creation. We need strong candidate with experience in testing web application, web services and strong knowledge in integration testing with downstream/upstream systems and vendor applications. The effort requires testers to be highly technical and possess strong analytical skills in order to identify and resolve QA problems.
Responsibilities (add bullets if needed):
Review requirements documents, system concept documents and functional and technical design documents.
Analyze business use cases and technical design specs in order to create test cases and test scenarios.
Hold walkthroughs for Test Plans and Test Scripts with the IT team, 3rd party vendors and business partners.
Communicate testing expectations to project managers and project team members.
Maintain and monitor defect tracking tool (Jira), overseeing identification and problem/defect resolution.
Prepare step-by-step test cases with details
Execute test cases manually as well as using automation tool: UFT and Selenium desired
Validate data at both the file layout and the back-end database
Analyze defects and report defects to development teams.
Coordinate and manage testing effort between 3rd party vendors, internal IT teams, and Business Units.
Create a Test Summary at the end of the project and present to the project team.
Support QA Lead with test results and status as communication to the project team.
Develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes, and procedures based upon the SDLC methodology.
Evaluate production readiness of project delivery by validating and documenting the completion of testing and development.
Work with the development management team and project managers on resource and schedule issues.
Customize, communicate, and enforce QA best practices across all SDLC phases.

Experienced in testing and automating web application, ESB web services using SOAP UI, SOAP UI PRO, UFT12.0, Selenium
Experience testing and validating web application
Strong experience in executing automated test cases using SOAP UI PRO, Selenium and UFT 12.0
Strong SQL skills to view/create data in an Oracle database
Strong data analysis skills at the file layout and database level
Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written mode
Expert in using Application Lifecyle Management (ALM) and Jira, and Atlassian QA tools
Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows…platform. Experience within 3-tier architecture environment.
Prior QA experience for the Business Area to be tested, primarily Healthcare related.
Prior experience leading a QA team on a strategic project. Strong project management skills to effectively manage QA resources and timeline.
Comprehensive knowledge of software testing techniques and methodologies.
