Job Description :
Our client is seeking a software developer to modify the State Refugee Information System -
which was developed 15 years ago as a web-based platform for management and reporting of program grants. IRIS 2.0 was launched in 2018 with the basic programmatic platform with the intent of adding and enhancing the existing platform. The developer will work extensively and directly with program staff to develop technical solutions and enhancements to meet programmatic goals and reporting requirements. This includes interactions with the state data warehouse.

Resources must be available for forty (40) hour work weeks except for State holidays or other exceptions that DHS approves or that the response identifies. DHS may expect resources to work up to fifty (50) hours per week depending on project volume.
In order to perform the work, the resource will be able to access information about individuals that contains data that by law is classified as "not-public data." As such the client will therefore require the candidate to sign a data-sharing agreement as a prerequisite.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Five (5) years’ experience in Database Development role. A Master’s degree substitutes for three years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree substitutes for two years, or an Associate’s degree substitutes for one year
- Two (2) engagements lasting more than six (6) months in Database Development role

Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with the Refugee Information Systems
- Proven work experience as a Database developer
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
- Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
- Hands on experience with some of these database languages: MySQL, MSSQL, DB2, Oracle, MS SQL or MS Access
- Familiarity working with .Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML and Oracle
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- Ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work with program staff to develop technology solutions for program and reporting requirements
