FYI: This is expected to be a long-term assignment F2F IV required after initial phone IV (if candidate is selected) ONLY those candidates that have recent experience using the ODI tool will be considered.
Technical details MUST BE in the body of the resume (not just listed in the summary) to be considered.
Manager will not consider candidates without recent experience. If details re this ODI experience are not in the body of the resume, they will be rejected. Please make sure you are sharing the process with your candidates so enough time is given to get them thru the Interview process to offer stage.
Support for development and maintenance of enterprise Oracle data warehouse to support Business Intelligence and Analytics initiatives. Experience and Skills 5 years or more of experience of a database developer in a professional environment 5 years or more of experience in a Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environment - SQL - PLSQL - ETL Tools: ODI REQUIRED. Mgr will not consider anyone without recent exp with ODI tool. Not interested in those with Informatica - ERWIN - UNIX - OBIEE - MS Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate Preferred
Strong business acumen and communications skills
Experience in data warehousing for a retail/store environment DAY TO DAY The applicant will be involved in gathering of business requirements and creating technical designs.
Experience designing, developing, and supporting new and current ETL processes employing industry standards and best practices to enhance loading of data from and into different source/ target systems.
The data warehouse developer’s role in an organization includes providing support to the organization’s business requirements in the application and consumption of information from the Data Warehouse.
The applicant will be part of the team to review, analyze, modify, and create ETLs, testing, debugging, integration and implementation processes.
Task will also include documenting technical needs for ETL processes and databases, and ensuring optimal technical infrastructure is utilized.
This position involves the delivery of huge data integration projects and would therefore require leveraging best practices expertise and experience at implementation; as well as effective technology know-how.
Data Warehouse Developer Role:
Strong SQL and PL/SQL development capabilities.
Deep understanding of data warehouse and star schema concepts.
Expert/Advanced level experience with ETL Tools, ODI required.
Deep experience in SQL tuning, tuning ETL solutions, physical optimization of databases.
Expertise in writing ETL jobs for extracting and loading large volumes of data between two databases.
Scheduling ODI jobs, configuration of monitoring and altering mechanisms.
Ability to work on wide variety of development needs from simple queries to complex queries and multidimensional analysis
Ability to follow best coding standards practices
Analyze and provide resolutions for production data issues
Familiar with Unix shell scripting and job automation
