Description:
Experience with wireless and networking in end-to-end engineering and business capacities to deploy mobile capabilities
Experience conducting WLAN enterprise site surveys and network designs
Deep understanding of current 802.11 standards of experience with routing and switching fundamentals
Must have:
5-7+ years of recent experience as a Cisco Wireless LAN Specialist with hands-on implementation/migration experience
Experience implementing/migrating to or using Cisco Prime and Cisco DNA
Experience deploying Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for secure network access
Knowledge of 802.11a/g/n/ac Cisco WLC, CAPWAP, LWAPP; be able to use tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure and support WLANS
Knowledge of L2/L3 Roaming
Experience implementing/migrating to or using Cisco CMX (connected mobile experiences)
Plus:
Active Cisco Certifications CWNA, CWNP, CWNE, CCNA Wireless, CCNP Wireless, CCIE Wireless – preferred but NOT required
Day to Day:
Responsible for the design, development, and migration from Aruba to Cisco. Apply knowledge of radio frequency (RF) and wireless local area network (WLAN) theory and industry best practices to design end-to-end solutions based on client requirements. Exhibit knowledge of Wi-Fi fundamentals, security, site surveying, installation and deployment considerations, and troubleshooting
