PLM/Windchill Solution Architect
Location: Harrisburg, PA

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions have long been a strength of client and the PTC Windchill PDMLink platform is the primary system used to deliver these capabilities. Typical process areas include: Part/BOM/CAD Data Management, Engineering Change Management, Component and Supplier Management and Product/Regulatory Compliance.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
The client has an immediate opportunity for a PLM Solution Architect capable of serving in a key role to significantly improve our PLM related processes and solutions built on the PTC Windchill platform with the following responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business users and other client teams to convert business requirements into system based solutions focused on the Windchill platform
Balance project architectural concerns with those of the enterprise by aligning solution architecture with roadmaps established by the enterprise architecture and assuring that solutions adhere to the enterprise architecture principles.
Provide analysis and recommendations when multiple, competing solutions are available
Develop Technical Design Documentation to document solutions
Provide technical guidance to the Windchill development team to assure proper implementation of the planned solutions
Develop roadmaps and reference architectures around the Windchill platform
Liaise with vendors to understand future capabilities and drive enhancements that support TE strategies
Analyze, improve and maintain Windchill based PLM business processes and solutions
Communicate with software developers and/or vendors to request enhancements or report application improvements/inefficiencies
Experience Required/Desired:
Required:
At least 7 years of Windchill experience developing applications in a complex, global implementation that supports distributed files stores, provides multiple WGMs and includes non-PDMLink components
Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying enterprise solutions based on the Windchill platform
Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying integrations between Windchill and other enterprise systems including ERP, DW, Compliance, Logistics and other business systems
Experience in an Agile software development environment
Experience with the software development process including SCCM, issue tracking and IDEs
Domain knowledge of CAD data management, Design Engineering and PLM practices and processes
Excellent organization, verbal / written communication and presentation skills with demonstrated business savvy to interact with management, users, contract resources, developers, vendors, and other Information Technology teams.
Strong spoken and written English language communication.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a Team.
Ability to flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications
Desire to strive for continuous improvement and measurable efficiency gains
Desired:
Experience with the Windchill 11 platform and WPA
Understanding of and experience with Export Restricted data
Experience as an agile scrum master
Experience working in a global organization a plus.
Knowledge of processes and practices of transitioning engineering documentation, data and tasks from design to manufacturing
Educational Required/Desired:
· Bachelor of Science / Art in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent experience. Master’s in related area is a plus.
