·         We are looking for a technical Project Manager to join our clients Games group, which is a leader in premium and web-based mobile games.

·         This Games group turns hit franchises from the world''s biggest IP''s into digital experiences that entertain hundreds of millions of customers around the globe, through mobile and web-based games, plus cutting-edge VR and AR.

·         As the Games Project Manager, you play a critical role in keeping games production schedules on track by working closely with creative teams and stakeholders to understand shifting schedules and business priorities, and managing the engineering support team work requests, allocations, and assignments accordingly.

·         You also drive troubleshooting and resolution of issues between game vendors, creative, and multiple technical teams, and keep stakeholders informed of progress and outcomes.

·         The Games Project Manager is also the execution lead for all Games technical projects.

·         These projects include keeping our catalog of games up to date as well as internal game development projects.

·         You are responsible for gathering requirements, creating, tracking, updating, and communicating a schedule, resolving issues, acting as key point of contact with game development vendors, and working across various departments to deliver these projects successfully and on time.

·         As a successful candidate, you are highly organized and able to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives of varying complexity, prioritizing your work appropriately.

·         You have outstanding communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present at both an executive and team level.

·         You exhibit leadership in your ability to proactively identify issues, communicate, organize, and bring together teams both inside and outside in multiple locations and time zones to solve problems.

·         You are fluent in technical games concepts and have a solid working foundation in both Agile and traditional project management. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Work with stakeholders to manage engineer task priority

·         Drive resolution of issues between production and technical teams

·         Effectively organize a queue of issues based on priority and status

·         Ascertain priorities based on schedules, technical complexity, team workload, and other factors

·         Understand, manage, and troubleshoot technical tools and processes

·         Work with teams to build engineering teams to drive systemic improvements

·         Pull together upfront estimates of time and resource utilization

·         Facilitate the creation of a well-defined Project Backlog or Project Plan with tasks, durations, assignees, and dependencies

·         Manage Sprint and Release planning or development cycle

·         Coordinate participation of different tech and business groups in requirements gathering, specifications, design, development and implementation

·         Make sure project resources are applied appropriately

·         Assure that all team members understand and accept their roles and responsibilities

·         Ensure tasks assignments are made and are moving forward

·         Track and monitor project progress

·         Identify, track, and remove impediments to project success

·         Create regular communication with project team and stakeholders

·         Provide recommendations and course correct when plan goes off course

·         Ensure planning of go-live and deployment activities and manage their execution

·         Work with remote development teams to tightly integrate them into their project work streams

·         Analyze risk and mitigation accordingly, including establishing contingency plans and initiating corrective action.

·         Track and report key project metrics

·         Keep all stakeholders informed of status and issues

·         Arbitrate and resolve conflict

·         Manage relationships with the Games Production Team, client Build Team, and other stakeholders

·         Understand and follow the project management frameworks for project delivery, including both Agile Scrum and traditional project management approaches.

·         Learn, understand, and actively use project management software to effectively manage project deliverables

Basic Qualifications:

·         4-5 years of experience managing technical projects

·         1-2 years of experience with Agile or Lean methodologies, software engineering practices, and traditional project management approaches

·         1-2 years of automated builds, continuous integration, automated testing and source control

Additional Qualifications:

·         Bachelor''s degree, or equivalent experience

·         Certified Scrum Master and PMP certification highly desirable

·         Self-starter and proactive in accomplishing tasks

·         Ability to direct a project with minimal guidance

·         Experience managing games and native apps

·         Experience coordinating large-scale application releases (from inception to go-live)

·         Experience with Jira, including ability to perform queries across projects highly desirable

·         Experience managing projects within a media company and/or in an online businesses environment

·         Possesses a strong technical background; ability to drive resolution of technical issues and incorporate technical and architectural considerations into planning, decisions, and recommendations

·         Ability to lead and motivate people to encourage performance and teamwork

·         Deadline driven; ability to motivate team to get work completed and hold team accountable for work

·         Ability to be flexible with the project work and handle change in project direction

·         Ability to learn new concepts quickly and be able to communicate those to the team and outside stakeholders

·         Demonstrated working partnership with software developers, technical and business management, department heads, product developers and QA teams

·         Possess superb written and verbal communications and presentation skills
