Job Description
The Technical Writer is responsible for working with the development team to write and edit technical documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The Technical Writer creates, manages and oversees the generation of technical documents in support of Operations, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Testing, and data entry activities. The Technical Writer works on assignments that are complex in nature where analysis of processes and data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Support the revision of documents as the need arises e.g. changes to functional requirements documents, changes to system design documents, etc.
Support the development and creation of documents and procedures for the Development Team by providing technical writing skills commensurate with current business practices (plain language) and continuous process improvement methodologies
Support the testing and documentation of software in accordance with application specific testing plans
Support groups in the participation of meeting and providing technical writing input for documentation needs
Support the group by documenting meeting and teleconference minutes
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Previous experience of working in Big data Projects and corresponding Technical Track is required.
Experience with Confluence and Jira tools required. All the documents and Technical documents will be done in Confluence for this project.
Excellent analysis, communication, organization, planning, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group.
Demonstrated ability to research, organize, and develop writing projects for technical and general public audiences
Ability to accurately convey information in both spoken and written form.
Strong command of the English language is essential (Plain Language
Experience in creating multi-media training materials and/or maintaining web content are/is preferred
