Job Description :
Position Mission: The Associate Chemist will perform a variety of routine and non-routine tasks in a regulated laboratory environment in order to support, as well as help develop, pharmaceutical platforms. This individual will work in conformance with *company policies and current Good Lab Practices (GLP), regulatory requirements and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. Individual will perform procedures for process / analysis, and assist manager and peers with routine and non-routine Quality and Research procedures.
Position Duties:
Comply with all quality system requirements.
Perform preparation, collection, measurement and recordkeeping of elution samples
Document, and test data analysis results.
Participate on cross-functional teams for continuous improvement activities.
Communicate with team members to ensure schedule requirements are met.
Apply knowledge of performed tasks to elucidate test method failures
Analyze and deduce data and collate test results
Communicate priority and timeliness for completion of customer requests.
Help drive team to meet business goals.
Supports development area as needed / commercial QC release

Education, Skills and Experience Needed to Perform Position Function:
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related technical discipline.
Minimum of less than 1 year of laboratory experience
General wet chemistry laboratory techniques plus experience with: liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, dissolution, and infrared spectroscopy.
Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Ability to work in a laboratory with solvents and pharmaceutical substances
Solid technical ability, equipment set up, and troubleshooting skills
Desirable Qualifications to Perform Position Function:
Strong communication skills as demonstrated by documenting test results and working successfully in a dynamic team environment.
Ability to prioritize and execute on daily tasks, and long term objectives as demonstrated by self prioritizing and managing the majority of work requests.
