JOB DESCRIPTION :
Typically requires at least 4 years of experience in QA automation
The QA automation lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day automation activities, total work output and automation quality of the QA automation staff.
Estimates QA automation effort for assigned automation projects.
Supervises the automation activities and automation staff involved in the QA automation testing of systems and applications. Manages the day-to-day workflow of automation staff.
Drives defect management activities
Reviews and establishes automation work methods, procedures, best practices.
Plans, schedules, assigns and reviews automation work.
Trains, orients, and instructs staff in proper automation work methods and procedures.
Writes and runs automation test cases, develops automation test plans and strategies, and publishes automation test results.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be familiar with TFS
Must be familiar with the SDLC process and adhere to the process
Well versed in all stages of the testing lifecycle (functional, integration, regression, etc
Responsible for developing automation test strategy and scheduling for large projects
Responsible for ensuring all staff follow automation procedures for documenting test cases and test plans using MTM, TFS, and SharePoint
Responsible for assessing quality of automation documentation and test results
Responsible for maintaining on boarding documents and procedures for new staff
Ability to track progress of new staff and determine level of competence
Ability to run daily meetings and meet one on one with staff members
Minimum
Typically requires a Bachelor''s degree preferably in information systems, computer science or a related field, and may have an advanced degree, certification, or additional professional training
