Immediate need for a Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop Engineer



The responsibilities will include:




Design, configure, maintain the Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop platform
Drive Virtual Client Workplace strategy & best practice implementation
Drive capacity planning & enhanced monitoring for proactive enhancements of Virtual Workplace Service
Ensure standards, knowledge base articles & processes are well documented
Lead the transition of Citrix enhancements & published applications to the Support / Run organization
Collaborate with cross functional groups to design & implement complex solutions. 
Drive Citrix lifecycle roadmap to support business requirements &/or new technologies
Assist with defining Virtual Workplace business requirements; ensures delivered solutions meet SLA’s
Ability to define/manage Global group policy & Citrix policy for the Citrix platform
Assist with Packaging and scripting with engineering solutions




Skills/Knowledge Required:




Expert skills of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 Operating Systems
Expert skills of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop v6.x/v7.x / VMware Horizon View
Expert Skills in productivity tools including Office 2013, O365, browsers and security hardening for Citrix
Strong troubleshooting skills for Citrix
Knowledge of Virtual desktop provisioning technologies; i.e. WDS, MCS, PVS
Citrix Shared Hosted Desktop (SHD)
Knowledge of NetScaler and StoreFront features, capabilities and integration (i.e. SSO, two factor authentication, GSLB)
Virtualization Technologies (AppV, , UniDesk, ESX, AppSense, Citrix UPM, VMware UEM) a plus
Strong Active Directory, Group Policy, Citrix policy
Ability to work effectively with coworkers and clients at various levels
Ability to coach and mentor junior members
Ability to triage scenarios and bring in additional subject matter experts for problem resolution
Effective organizational, writing, and communication skills to assist with knowledge transfer to the Support organization
Works in conjunction with clients to eliminate gaps and inconsistencies in the initial information system architectures to ensure that solution meets client needs
Shows willingness to work with numerous support teams including testing, development, architecture, network, and program management
