PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Retail Master Data Consultant facilitates the implementation and support of SAP products to enhance the clients’ business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. Individual will be part of the elite group of SAP consultants providing our clients with professional services focused on SAP Retail Master Data and Conversion.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The Consultant will contribute or lead application specific solution consulting for SAP Retail Master Data application involving creation of business blueprint, implementation based on a blue print, creation of test cases, test scheduling and execution, key user training, go live support, and post go live support) focusing on Retail and/ or Fashion industries.
Consultant is also responsible for maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction in each of their accounts in addition to growing and developing refrenceable customers through their investigation, analysis, consulting, coaching, knowledge transfer, and relationship-building efforts.
Ability to support all stages of a Master Data implementation project
Ability to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment

Well-rounded understanding of business, partner and project management practices
Ability to work effectively as part of a global team coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Understand Retail Business Practices/ Best Practices and the customer environment
Ability to solve functional and technical obstacles with customers under the direction of the Project Manager (PM)
Work closely with the customer and project team to define business requirements and provide recommendations to improve business processes
Ability to provide recommendations with regards to future business and solution opportunities
Support in escalated projects
Performance of feasibility studies / solution reviews
Support of pre-sales activities
Taking over responsibility from time to time as a sub project team leader
Takes responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people development tasks
Detailed planning of process implementation
Define detailed blueprint for development requirements
Industry /corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP)
Develop and Assure quality of process models
Demonstrating profound knowledge of modeling standards and tools
WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years’ SAP consulting experience in the Retail / Fashion Industry with a focus on Master Data Configuration, Conversion and Governance and at least 2 end to end implementations is required
Strong leadership skills - able to lead customer engagements at an executive level.
Deep understanding of Retail / Fashion industry business processes.
Has been in a team lead role on a major project and has provided mentoring/leadership to others.
Experience in license and services pre-sales activities.
Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non- technical audiences.
Overall knowledge of SAP Master Data solutions with strong knowledge of Master Data Configuration and Conversion processes and best practices.
Expertise in the configuration and implementation of Master Data Objects such as article, location, hierarchy, assortment and others.
Expertise in the integration of Master Data objects with other SAP solutions.
Proven experience in configuring, testing, and supporting SAP Master Data solutions.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Fashion Management Solution, SAP Activate Methodology, Agile Methodology and ABAP development/debugging are a plus.
