Position Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
·Bachelors Degree from a Four (4) year College or University; or six (6) to eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·8+ years of data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence, schema & DB experience.
·Good understanding of forward and reverse model engineering, and Data Flow Diagraming.
·Extensive experience in Oracle, MS SQL and other popular database systems
·Experience in working on conceptual, logical, and physical data models using various Data Modeling tools. Erwin preferred.
·Competent in data warehousing, metadata repository, analysis of business needs, requirements interviewing and requirements walk through, transformation of requirements into a logical and physical data- model, source-to-target mapping, database requests, etc.
·Strong background in Data Management Best Practices, Data Integration, Data Rationalization and Data Patterns.
·Strong understanding in the principles of data warehousing using Fact Tables, Dimension Tables, star schema modeling and snowflake schema modeling, Slowly changing dimensions, foreign key concepts, referential integrity.
·Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
·Strong attention to detail with respect to creating documentation and testing of solutions through query validation.
