Description:
NodeJS Middleware Technology
Middleware - Connecting Backend MongoDB to Oracle
Comfortable connecting to both relational database like Oracle and NoSQL database like Mongo
Prefers experience both types of databases (relational and NoSQL)
Going to support whatever they currently have which has Node connects to MongoDB and from Mongo it has like a cache database that goes to Oracle database and pulls the data?
Requires the resource to be experience with both
Contract:
Typically starts 3 months and extends (long-term)
App (Mobile) is only in 1 facility currently, have another 25 facilities yet to go live
Only in North America right now
3rd party is controlling project
3rd party is developing this for them; they have high level design control
App not stable right now, initial focus in next 3-6 months is to stabilize it and understand what is being done, it is not scalable currently
App works with 1 Samsung device and that device is becoming obsolete
Code:
Resource will sit in office with them and manage the deployment, manage the process.
Initial process will be to take over the overlap time and build their own process in house; support is currently in house, but developments and enhancements and bug fixes are still going through the 3rd party for deployments.
Using their code up front as a basis to build.
