Position Description:
ITI/RRS The Mainframe Planning is responsible for planning and fulfillment activities related to the portfolio of ITO products and services offered for the Enterprise Data Centers as they pertain to the Mainframe Service. The Mainframe planning group handles hardware provisioning/budgetary estimates and capacity sizing to support emerging hardware, software, and database technology. for tech refresh projects, new technology implementations, POCs, as well as acquiring/renewing software licenses required to support the infrastructure. Key Activities: . Work with APLM Acquisitions team to issue /funding request and assist with creation of Acquisition Requests (ARs) required for hardware and software on new or existing PO.s . Acquire and track license keys (as required), and maintain a Mainframe Software inventory . Be the key focal point for gathering forecasts and capacity sizing the Mainframe servers and storage environments . Provide support as required for BPR/KPI usage metrics . Approve change records and act as a change control backup, as needed . Participate in the annual Business Planning cycle by understanding key application"s forecasts and ensuring adequate funds are budgeted for the upcoming year(s) . Work with Operations Manager on annual budget and provide forecasting data . Provide Mainframe planning support for China infrastructure . Support DR tests and planned/unplanned outages for the US and China environments . Facilitate Mainframe Collaboration Projects review meetings. . Work with Engineering and Operation teams on developing a plan to acquire the necessary hardware, software and services to support migration of the mainframe to the new datacenters (includes decommission of current datacenters) Participate in negotiations as required with new or revisions on contracts/SOW.s necessary for service
Skills Required:
Strong organization and prioritization skill . Ability to work with a broad range of customers that span the entire enterprise with a focus on usage in NA. . High comfort level with data, data manipulation, and charting with Excel. . Excellent communication skills . Knowledge of change control . Knowledge of project management . Ability to multi-task and work on a high pace environment
Experience Preferred:
Basic Understanding of Ford financial/funding processes. . Familiarity with financial management as used in the Demand Management and ORB tools . Architecture and Engineering background . Supplier Management background
Education Required:
B.S. Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field.
