Description:
Consolidate multiple Exchange-based messaging systems on a single Exchange Online tenant.
Apply extensive technical expertise in the architecture and design of messaging in the Microsoft stack: Exchange Server 2010, 2013, and Exchange Online.
Extensive experience with migrations from on premise to Exchange Online, and Exchange Public Folder consolidation from multiple organizations.
Review and recommend changes to the messaging infrastructure components.
Configure, document, and administer messaging security in adherence to internal IT standards.
Provide Level 3 support of MS Exchange and messaging technologies including escalation of problems with software vendors.
Manages a ticket queue for MS Exchange escalation tickets.
Mentor, develop delegation, and help train other IT Support staff on messaging practices and procedures.
Test and deploy hardware and software upgrades and patches to existing systems.
Guide the successful completion of assigned projects, often involving M&A integration and divesture e-mail resources
What Knowledge and Skills Should You Have?
Training and Experience:
Bachelor''s degree strongly preferred with 5+ years of Microsoft directory services and messaging engineering experience in an enterprise setting.
Relevant technology certification strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
More than 7 years of engineering experience with Exchange server 2010-2016 and Exchange Online.
Strong focus with on premise Exchange consolidation and migration to Exchange Online, including solutions for migration of Public Folders.
5+ years of experience with Active Directory2008 R2-2016, including experience working with Azure AD Connect.
Deep expertise in the Microsoft Exchange stack, including configuration, security, deployment and migration.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems, networking, scripting and automation (preferably via PowerShell
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Identity Manager is a strong plus.
Experience with Mimecast as a mail gateway is a plus.
