PROJECT: The project(s) apply to the efforts in Transformative Care. These projects seek to build out both the PHS Member portal components as well as the OCM clinical Platform as it relates to Optum''s strategic direction.

In this Solution Architect role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and
implementation of the organization''s technology architecture and applications plan, including the
components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architecture and
applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time and on budget
? Work / collaborate with solution teams including Optum subject matter experts, technical
architects, business process architects, product managers, program managers, scrum teams,
and solution leads to develop and ensure your proposed solution not only meets or exceeds client
requirements, but is innovative and cost competitive to the marketplace
? Client / business relationship building and solution presentation through the multi-phases of the
development life cycle
? Manage client expectations in solution development, focus on outcomes and service levels
? Modeling the technical landscape to analyze the alignment of business capabilities with delivered
technology and IT solutions. Analyzing the current technology environment to detect critical
deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
? Defining the principles that guide technology decisions for the application area
? Building end-to-end solution plans that define the ideal and future state systems solution, scope
of solution initiatives, solution delivery sequencing, assumptions, and risks
? Create both extremely detailed to high level architecture documents and presentations for highly
technical and business audiences
? Conduct architecture assessments during business ideation, planning and prioritization
? Provide in depth business architectural support during program / project solution analysis
? Participates in Agile cadence such as Scrum standup meetings, backlog grooming sessions,
review, and retrospective meetings as needed
? Support the development of enterprise architecture best practices, standards and frameworks
Minimum Required Qualifications:
? Bachelor''s Degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
? 10+ years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture
? 8+ years of full-lifecycle application development experience in the systematic use of business
requirements analysis and definition methodologies; Client/server, service-oriented architecture
(SOA), middleware, database, operations and other technical understandings on a wide range of
projects and disciplines
? 6+ years experience in building multi-tier applications such as Java
? Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration
? Agile development experience
? Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing
environments
? Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture

? The ability to work 3-4 projects utilizing efficient time management
