What is the specific title of the position
Sr. Web - Application Server Admin

PROJECT: Optum Client Govt. Solutions engagements. This Middleware admin position is to support WebLogic and JBoss upgrade work. Also support deployments after upgrade project and fix any potential issues.


IDEAL BACKGROUND: A seasoned WebLogic/JBoss Middleware admin who can work independently within team.

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)
Perform JBoss (6.x to 7.x) and WebLogic (11.x to 12.x) Server upgrades
Application Server daily support and maintenance
Application Server troubleshooting and work with Product Vendors.
Application monitoring and Product support
Sever upgrades, JDK upgrades, Certificate renewals
Build and Deployments to lower environments
Scripting experience to automate manual tasks

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities
Weblogic , JBoss, Apache, SOA, Linux / Unix

What skills/attributes are a must have
At least Three (3) years of system administration and Middleware support including working directly with customers to define their needs and product outputs satisfying those needs in a pre-determined time frame;
Four (4) years of building, patching WebLogic and JBoss Server environments
Four (4) years of Application deployments and Server maintenance tasks

What skills/attributes are nice to have
Three (3) years of experience in writing automated build and deployment scripts;
Four (4) years of experience on WebLogic products (SOA, OSB and OPA etc;
Two (2) years of experience with Red Hat Linux environments;

Where is the work to be performed (Please list preferred Client facility, if other please specify i.e. remote work, rural, etc
At Client facility (location Hartford, CT)

What are the work hours (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc)
Regular hours, On-call support in a rotation basis
