In this Java Technical Lead role, you will work as a key part of a dynamic team focused on supporting and leading growth and changes for critical Client applications. This is a high visibility role with considerable opportunity for driving innovation and providing technical leadership in a group poised for growth.

The ideal candidate should have extensive Java J2EE development and leadership experience in a large, fortune 500 company. The ideal candidate would have experience designing practical solutions and would have demonstrated leadership capabilities. Experience working with AEM or CQ5 highly desired.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all production related activities with a team of offshore resources
Provide leadership in critical production issue resolution both (Priority 1 and Priority 2)
Responsibility, at a high level, includes application availability, reliability and stability on a 7 by 24 by 365 basis
Be available on - call 24x7x365 along with other team members in rotation or continuous to resolve production issues
Ensure timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding SLA’s
Work with business to prioritize production issues for resolution
Assist Service Manager in providing management status reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis
Assist Service Manager in scheduling OM and work order tasks including management of customer - driven priorities
Ensure that all documentation has been updated and that work product meets UDP / SOX compliance requirements
Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in - scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
Act as a liaison between offshore resources and business / onsite IT management
Provide estimates (or coordinate estimates from off shore) on all break / fix, and problem - management activities
Identify application performance improvement initiatives and implement the same in consultation with the Service Manager
Work with the Service Manager in process improvement initiatives as directed by the service manager
Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in - scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
Work with development team(s) in thoroughly understanding changes they are implementing with the releases and act as a gatekeeper for changes going into production
Work with appropriate infrastructure teams in troubleshooting any performance issues and remediating the same
Participate in performance testing activities when needed and troubleshoot issues to fine tune systems
Participate in various audits to provide necessary information
Support for disaster recovery testing initiatives
Make periodic updates of application documentation to keep support documents current


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in IT working on J2EE and enterprise applications
Experience leading a team or managing / leading an offshore teams
Experience with SDLC processes
Experience leading technical meetings for high profile issues and providing technical direction towards resolving issues
Willing and able to provide 24x7x365 on-call support
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AEM / CQ5
Experience with Splunk, DTSaaS, JBoss
Working with ITIL processes (Incident management and Problem Management)
Oracle 10g / 11/MYSQL database experience
Healthcare experience
