PROJECT: This person will be doing system and requirements analysis for API integration formats i.e. X12/HL7, user capabilities and data requirements and mapping, other.

IDEAL BACKGROUND: Healthcare would be ideal with emphasis on claims and prior authorization.
TOP REQUIREMENTS: They need to know Agile, API -X12 and H77 integrations, be able to complete data mapping, critical thinker.
SOFT SKILLS: The need to be able to make recommendations and articulate their findings to the team.
? Serve as primary IT resource for medium-size projects to large-size projects
? Work with business segments to better define project requirements for development and implementation
? Translate requirements into technical specifications
? Work with developers to get projects developed and implemented
? Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with developers and business resources

Positions in this function work in the analysis phase of the system development cycle and consult with users to evaluate business requirements, identify operating procedures, evaluate existing or proposed systems and prepare and document detailed system specifications from which programs will be written. This function also is intended to include those that also may define business processes.
Daily life as a System Analyst for Clinical IT may include examining and clarifying business requirements with Business Analyst or Business resources. System Analysts are responsible for solution design by working interactively with Architect and Development resources via group work sessions. Once solution design is complete, System Analysts support the QA, UAT and Release phases of the project via defect analysis, change maintenance, etc. Many of the described activities will occur concurrently due to our use of an Iterative SDLC. Working with multiple disciplines and on varied deliverables requires leveraging effective communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
Requirements:
? Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
? 5 + years of System Analyst
? 3+ years of experience working in the different phases of development
? 2+ years of Relational Database experience
? + years of writing system specifications and designing solutions
? Understanding of data gathering/analysis
? Experience working with Agile development methodology
Assets
? Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
? Proficiency with MS Project
? Proficiency with MS Visio
Understanding of the Rally to for agile
? Proficiency with API design including X12 transactions formats and HL7
· Understanding of Java 8
· Understanding of Spring Framework, JMS, multi-threading, and XML (Xml Beans, JAXP or JAXB)is a plus
· Extensive experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope
