We are working with a client who is looking for Sharepoint Developer/Software Engineer at Boise, ID. Here are details about the job:


Job Summary




Highly qualified candidates will possess:


Working knowledge of a State Agency.
Working knowledge and experience in migration from one version of SharePoint to a later version. 
Experience with Infowise and other third-party tools typically utilized in a SharePoint environment.


The SharePoint Administrator/Designer (software engineer) is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of software.  Software Engineers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Software engineers have a range of skills and knowledge of current technologies.  They can utilize knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization.

Agency Expected Deliverables

Experience:  Four plus years of experience.

Education:  Four-year college degree or equivalent study in business process design and SharePoint Administration

Description of skills and knowledge include:



          This is a professional level position which may require coordination of SharePoint Administration/Designing and programming activities being conducted by the team

          Confers with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing and the SharePoint platform.

          Leverages excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop new business process and programming solutions as directed by business and technical stakeholders.

          Utilize SharePoint Administration/Designer, deep modeling, and coding skills.

          Analyze and design enhancements, development programs, and/or required fixes to production problems.

          Design SharePoint applications to functional and technical programming standards.

          Gather and interpret user requirements into design specifications.

          Develop plans and designs for SharePoint system specifications and interfaces

          Determine time estimates and schedules for work.

          Code enhancement and development programs and/or required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical SharePoint Administration and programming standards.

          Test enhancement and development programs.

          Structured code reviews / walkthroughs.

          Advises client or department heads on alternate methods of solving need or problem or recommends specific solution.

          Create and provide content for operational documentation to Technical Writers.

          Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application.

          Provides documentation according to agency standards




Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc
Skills required:



DHW utilizes SharePoint as an extensive business tool, not only for collaboration, but also for many various Division program needs.  This resource will be 100% dedicated to providing experience and knowledge in the best practices and solutions within the SharePoint environment. 



Scope of work includes, but is not limited to:  Analysis, design, configure, programming, testing, and training of the DHW SharePoint environment(s  This person will have extensive experience in SharePoint 2010, 2013 and 2016 Administration, Design and SharePoint database/SQL databases utilized by SharePoint.  Extensive experience in SharePoint back-ups, indexing, updates, and logging functionality.  Extensive experience troubleshooting SharePoint and SharePoint environment related issues is required.  Experience in ASP.Net, C# coding standards in addition to experience with the associated design principles is a plus.



Expected Deliverables:  Work with the existing SharePoint team to enhance functionality, increase performance, provide design and architecture ideas to management and work with the various business units to meet the ongoing needs.   Ability to decipher and implement Microsoft engineering recommendations.  Extensive experience in documenting designs, processes and training materials to ensure knowledge transfer is thorough and complete.   Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and work with tight timelines.   The resource will deliver production-ready SharePoint solutions and meeting established project standards and provides the functionality requested by the product owner and project managers while working within the DHW processes.  Adhere to design, testing and deployment standards set by the Application Development and Support Bureau.



Additionally, this person will be required to have a proven level of expertise with PowerShell.  HTML and Java Scripting skills are a plus.
