Description:
The SQL DBA will troubleshoot SQL servers, monitor and manage server health, functionality and availability of servers. In addition, you will install, configure, secure and maintain development, QA and production environments.
What Else Will You Do?
Configure and Integrate 3rd party applications and add-ons.
Configure and maintain SQL Server Always On High Availability
Provides direct support of SQL servers, databases and related enterprise applications.
Supports internal development, functional technology and project teams on a recurring basis.
Monitors and optimizes system performance based on Microsoft best practices.
Implements upgrades, enhancements and fixes following established change management procedures.
Works with Microsoft Support and other 3rd party vendors in resolution of support issues on as-needed basis.
Adheres to technical standards, procedures and techniques for the resolution of enterprise database problems to ensure maximum application availability and performance.
Collaborates with other IT technical engineers, developers and Program Management personnel.
Experience with Data Warehouses.
Troubleshooting Oracle 11g and 12c database and servers.
Install and configure Oracle 11g and 12c
Participates in scheduled and unscheduled weekend/after-hours system maintenance and support. Performs rotational on-call duty.
What Is the Required Experience?
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
More than 3 years of experience with SQL Server 2008 or later (in a complex enterprise environment highly preferred)
Experience with Always On Availability Groups
More than 3 years of SQL Database Administration experience with the ability to perform in all the basic database management skills of database administration
Oracle 11g and 12c experience (preferred)
SSAS, SSRS, SSIS (preferred)
MS PowerShell (preferred)
