Title: Sr. Juniper Engineer
Locals are preferred .
Must have Juniper design, best practices and troubleshooting experience. Juniper QFX, SRX, VPN and WAN, monitoring tools technology and implementation experience is required as well.
Client needs the following:
- They need an expert to look at their environment and make assessments and recommendations for future projects
- The resource needs to be hands on for deployment of best practice
- They would like to continue with the chosen resource for future projects once the staff aug is complete
- They would like to meet the potential resource to make sure they would work well with them
- They have Juniper, Cisco, and Arista switches in place today, in that order. It''s mostly a Juniper shop, with a couple of Cisco and Arista switches for testing.
Here are some projects that they are planning on over the next couple of months:
- Core switch and top of rack switch re-architecture and re-cable
- Planning on creating more formalized maintenance windows
- Implement VPN services and WAN redundancy at their datacenter and HQ locations
- Currently using Juniper SRX for routing and security
- Planning on implementing employee VPN services
- Planning on implementing site to site VPNs
- Re-architect the environment for industry best practices
- Currently experiencing some strange issues and need to troubleshoot those issues, may be due to lack of maintenance on the switches. The switches haven''t been upgraded in a while.
-Implement tools to notify them when there''s an outage.
They are currently using Juniper QFX switches for core and top of rack
They do have spare Juniper ESX switches as backups
