Role:Transition Program Manager 
Location: New Jersey

Position Description

This role centrally (CIO’s Office) governs and manages IT Service Transition from current set of Vendor(s) to AIG’s strategically aligned Vendor partners and is accountable for the successful completion of Transition to yield the Business Case targets.


Establish a holistic Transition Governance Framework that drives standard phases, expected outcome and phase exit criteria so as to enable a consistent planning and execution of knowledge transfer with no impacts to ongoing IT service delivery to business.
Coordinate service transition activities across transition project managers, suppliers and service teams and maintain integrated plans for specific service transitions
Manages all tasks associated with initiating, planning, scheduling, governing and controlling transitions projects across business units at a global scale.
Responsible for overall master program plan including project schedule, communications plan, change control plan, risk management plan, responsibility matrix, and cost control/tracking mechanism.
Monitors and tracks the transition budget for each project and provides reports to executive management.
Maintain and monitor progress for service transition changes, issues, risks and deviations; including tracking progress on actions and mitigation of risks.
Adopt a proactive and preventative approach to managing transition risks and issues so as to minimize any impacts to schedule and cost.
Act as the prime interface for executive and senior management for IT service transition planning and reporting.
Govern Supplier’s contractual commitments for Transition and report any credits or penalties to be accounted for financially or otherwise.
Responsible for centrally tracking and accounting for onboarding, transition and off-boarding of resources across multiple sourcing partners associated with different Business Units in different regions.
Responsible for Transition program communication specific to Steering committee, Business Unit stakeholders, project team members, sourcing partners etc.
Facilitate and moderate project meetings including but not limited to project kickoffs, team progress and issue resolution, leadership update, project close out and best practices and core team meetings.

Skills and Experience

Background in people management, financial responsibility and business decision-making
12+ years Planning and Operations experience in IT/ADMS
Experience running outsourcing transitions
Program Management
