Job Description:
Key Responsibility:
Define and own end-to-end Architecture for large Enterprise programs
Ability to manage communication at a CXO level
Lead and interface with a group of project Architects
Ensure clarity on NFR and address these requirements during Architecture definition phase
Define Logical, Technical & Physical views of Architecture
Define reusable components/frameworks, common schemas, standards to be used & tools to be used and help bootstrap the engineering team
Review design to make sure design is aligned with Architecture
Lead performance engineering and capacity planning exercises
Help Program Manager in identifying key technical risks and mitigation plan for the same
Help Program Manager in effort estimation and planning
Mentor & guide Tech Leads & Software Engineers Other Responsibilities
Nurture & groom in-house budding Architects
Build ‘Reference Architecture’ for selected technical domains
Involve in pre-sales process and lead creating effective proposals for large, complex systems
Write ‘Point of View’ document on emerging technology trends
Conduct internal sessions on Architecture and Technology related topics
Desired Skill:
Experience in defining & realizing end-to-end Solution Architecture for large & complex systems
Atleast 12 years of experience in IT including at least 5 years in Architecture roles
Experience in architecting and executing at-least one legacy transformation program
Proficient in dealing with all the layers in solution: Multi-channel presentation, business logic in middleware, data access layer, RDBMS | NO-SQL
5+ years with hands-on experience Java/JEE ; Struts/JSF, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, EJB, JMS & ORM
Proven experience with Spring Java; overall expertise in J2EE frameworks and design patterns. Strong design and development skills with database technologies and MySQL
Strong understanding of Microservice architecture. Hands-on experience in developing and deploying Microservices
Strong Experience in design and development of RESTful APIs using JAX-RS and JSON.
3+ years of experience in SOA definition and realization
Deep expertise in at least one application server (JBoss | Weblogic server | WebSphere server)
2+ years of experience with at least one messaging platform (Websphere MQ | Tibco Rendezvous)
Expertise in creating technical documents like Architecture views, Technology Architecture blueprint and Design specification
Strong understanding of architecture patterns such as multi-tenancy, scalability, and federation, to build cloud-ready systems
Proficient in OOAD using UML & in application of design patterns
Understanding of big data platforms concepts and NoSQL technologies, and ability to map such tools to context.
Experience with different development methodologies (RUP | Scrum | XP)
Proficient in UNIX/Linux environments
Exposure to tools like Rational suite, Enterprise Architect, Eclipse, and Source code versioning systems like CVS/SVN
Strong experience in at least one RDBMS (Oracle | DB2 | MySQL)
Knowledge of one NoSQL or big equivalent platform (HDFS, HBase / Cassandra / Mongo / HazelCast / Redis / …)
Proficient in RIA & Web 2.0 related technologies
Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing infrastructure (Azure / Amazon EC2 / …) Knowledge of PaaS platforms is a plus.
Understanding of AS/400 systems and communication with external systems is preferable
Certification in any Architecture related area (TOGAF/Open group certified Architect/IASA CITA-P/SOA school certified SOA Architect) is desirab
