Job Title: Talend Admin - DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Chicago, IL

Job Duration: 12 months Contract




Job Responsibilities




Be a technical SME and drive Talend/Spark HA Implementations
Actively develop solutions for ongoing implementation and support application issues.
Follow established processes and improve processes/procedures to meet new application needs in various areas - maintain standards, monitoring, patch management, and develop automation tools.
Drive Cloud platforms along with High Availability implementations (cluster and load balancing), providing high level approaches including the design and capacity planning.
Identify opportunities to optimize current solutions, perform technical analysis, provide “hands on” technical support as needed, and troubleshoot problems related to poor performance in production and other test environments.
Participate in support activities as needed with onsite and offsite team members.
Should have in depth experience and knowledge on DevOps tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Jenkins CI/CD pipeline, GitHub, JIRA etc.




Required Job Qualifications:




Experience in Talend, ETL, Cloud, and Jenkins based automation.
Experience in DevOps tools and technologies. SME in CI/CD orchestration.
Ten years or more experience with Talend or other ETL tools (Ab Initio, DataStage
Experience with RLM, Jenkins based CI/CD automated build and deployment solutions.
Information Technology experience, ideally in Financial Services, with specialty in the area of Enterprise-scale Environment and implementing ETL technologies.
Expertise in Infrastructure technologies with hands-on experience in high availability cluster solutions using Redhat, Sun, and Veritas with UNIX/Linux Administration experience.
Expertise in evaluating new technologies and technical products in the context of business needs, established reference architecture, software packages, installation/configuration, environment provisioning with high available and load balancing features
Excellent verbal & written communication, inter-personal, facilitation and presentation skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to provide “hands-on” technical support and analysis on an as-needed basis.
Delivery focused, hands-on, data driven, detail oriented approach with clear accountability for performance and execution is required.
Be detail oriented and deliverable focused.
Team player, willing to work extra hours, including weekends on an as-needed basis with relatively short notice to meet deliverables and production issues.
