Title: Java and Angular JS Developer

As a Java Developer, you will be working in a quick-paced collaborative challenging environment in the Optum Clinical space while adhering to project standards, practices, and processes. You and your team will be expected to design, develop, and test enterprise ready features through the use of Java Enterprise Edition (JEE), Java technologies (Spring, design patterns, Websphere, JBoss, service-oriented architectures, etc, relational databases, and web technologies (HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, Angular JS Additionally, you will be required to provide support and documentation to teams as needed.

What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment Intellectual Development and Disability (IDD) a system for Client and Counties relative to managing the providing of services for people with intellectual and development disabilities

Primary Responsibilities:

? Designing and developing Web interfaces
? Developing Web services and endpoints
? Working on Enterprise Services and layers
? Working with multiple data sources
? Interfacing with the SA team for development specifications
? Interfacing with the QA team to ensure appropriate testing


Qualifications:

Solid understanding of the following core application development frameworks and Java/J2EE technologies:

? Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
? Spring Framework (core)
? Angular
? ORM concepts / implementations (e.g., Hibernate, GORM) as well as underlying JDBC
? Java/JavaScript
? XML /XSD
? Spock/JUnit
? Solid understanding of Web Services Description Language (WSDL) and RESTful services
? Spring MVC is an asset
? Experience with emerging Java technologies a plus (Groovy, Grails, Griffon, etc

Additional Requirements:

? Java/J2EE development experience in a complex, enterprise system environment
? Experienced in Agile methodology with Scrum
? Familiarity or experience with Continuous Delivery/Integration
? Strong understanding of web application development patterns and practices
? Solid understanding of XML and XML Schemas (XSD)
? Solid understanding of JMS messaging concepts and implementation, including understanding of queues, topics, message selectors and message routing
? Experience with Web Services and underlying Java services implementations
? Solid understanding of team development and the use of GIT as the development repository
? Experience in Java 7 (JDK 1.7 or higher) and Java EE
? Solid understanding of JUnit, Spock or similar testing frameworks and practices
? An understanding of and experience with full software development lifecycle including functional % technical specification, development (including object and component based design), documentation, QA processes, source control, and ongoing maintenance
? Experience with Relational Databases is required
? Effective communication skills are required

Location: MN Only

What are the work hours (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc) Core required hours are 8:30am-3pm, but an 8 hour day and meeting commitments will dictate exact hours of work and may vary by day
