10+ Years Healthcare QA Analyst
Location: Southfield, MI
Duration: 5-6 months

QA Analyst II (IT):
- Work with business, configuration analysts and developers to translate business and technical requirements into test cases, test scenarios and lead the test planning effort.
- Determine the type of SIT and UAT testing that is appropriate for the solution. Create a test plan that supports the solutions being deployed.
- Maintain the traceability matrix and identify, create and maintain adequate test data across multiple development and QA/test environments. Including documenting and analyzing defects and follow through with developers to ensure resolution of the defects.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Report testing metrics and create testing dashboards.
- Triage software defects identified by users, including the nature of the defect, recreating the defect and logging defects into the appropriate tracking systems.
- Coordinate with IT and other development areas to create deployment plans and ensure testing resources are properly managed to the schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of business processes, including but not limited to products, provider data, provider networks, and claims processing.
- Advance capabilities with MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently in MS Access and SQL.
- Efficiency with software testing solutions.
- Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle.
- Strong analytical and systems/relational analysis skills.
- Written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Facets membership, medical plan and provider app knowledge required
- Ability to manually process a claim in Facets

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Medical coding knowledge preferred

General Description:
Responsible for verifying and validating whether products or services meet specified requirements; involved in all phases of the QA process. They implement quality assurance objectives and processes, monitor and evaluate testing results against the predetermined objectives, and apply recommended actions for improvements. Quality control activities may include functional and non-functional testing such as regression, system, integration, security and performance testing.

QA professionals are responsible for defining the test environment used by the organization. They interact with all members of the project team including architects, business analysts, systems analysts and project managers. They also work with the development team to successfully integrate testing into each development phase. Other responsibilities include developing and executing formal test plans, writing and executing test cases/scripts, and validating results. They define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. QA professionals communicate testing results and provide recommendations based on issues discovered. They also monitor, evaluate and make recommendations on QA tasks within enterprise-wide processes such as change and release management.

Work Complexity:
- Works on multiple test programs/systems as a team member.
- Considered a subject matter expert for a single program/system.
- Works on projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments.

Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor''s degree in related field preferred.
- 3 years of systems development and/or business experience required.
- 1 year of quality assurance experience required.
- Familiarity with different types of testing tools and their uses.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Software Testing applications.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Methodology.
- Understanding of databases and services including the ability to programmatically interact with data formats.
