ISOC System Analyst

Responsibilities:
Perform application administration for multiple OSIsoft PI systems (Data Archive, Asset Framework, Analytics, Coresight, Connectors, and Interfaces These duties include PI implementation, security, design, support, and maintenance.
Support EtaPro, GE Smart Signal, GridAPM, eTerra, and other ISOC related applications.
Support to include production operation, bug fixes, modifications, enhancements and upgrades.
Assist in OSI PI tag creation and quality assurance of critical tags for new sites.
Work with PI team to edit and retool tag structures to improve data quality and accuracy.
Ensure production applications and servers are online and available as defined in any Service Level Agreements
Independently troubleshoot and research challenging problems.
Manage resolution of application production issues adhering to IT change management and issue tracking processes.
Verify and ensure applications are functioning properly after any change.
Manage and/ or participate in all aspects of the application lifecycle.
Plan, perform and document application installations, upgrades, changes, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
Review risks and consequences related to these activities.
Follow appropriate change control processes;
Work with database administrators, portfolio teams, and developers in coordinating system-wide updates and installing upgrades and patches.
Work with other groups in IT and Operations Technology, to identify and resolve network related issues including configurations on switches and firewalls;
Evaluate system security and system performance to ensure reliable and secure system performance and health;
Must have ability to work flexible hours and respond during off hours, or 24X7 on-call as needed, to support emergencies, systems outage, and critical infrastructure upgrades.
Must be willing to travel to all other company sites to support applications and application projects; this travel may be as frequent as twice a month.
Provide accurate and timely project status reporting.

Required Skills:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or 7 years of Industrial Control System experience in lieu of degree;
Minimum 8 years IT experience. Minimum 5 years of hands experience on OSISoft PI products and PI Administration (PI System Management Studio, Data Archive, Process Book, PI Asset Framework, Coresight, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Scripting, WebSphere, etc; Experience supporting EtaPro.
Demonstrated experience in PI tag creation adhering to company standards and nomenclature;
Basic understanding of asset monitoring across generation asset classes such as transformers, protective relaying, SCADA and DCS Control systems, telemetry RTU''s, etc.;
Basic understanding of aspects of power plant equipment and controls, power plant troubleshooting, and systems operations;
A working knowledge of condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and diagnostic technologies;
A clear understanding of data management best practices and asset management processes;
Effective problem solving and excellent time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication essential to writing failure analysis, incident reports, reporting to senior management, and to ascertain present and future customer needs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work outside of normal business hours as necessary;
Based in White Plains with approximately 15% travel within NY State
