Description:
The Certified Data Architect will serve in an advisory capacity as a Knowledge and Subject Matter Expert to our regional health care client for the implementation of Microsoft Power BI. This role will be one of advisory and training. Training upfront on how to use the tool then post implementation training once actually connecting to the data.
This roughly 3 month engagement will entail planning, implementation, and training of the Microsoft Power BI tool within a hybrid cloud environment (using Azure Team is fairly confident they can take care of configuration. The role will include:
Reviews and develops governance processes and policies with risk owners ensuring these policies align with current strategies and techniques.
Works with Data Management team to provide consensus based solutions that align with business strategy and are scalable, reliable, available and manageable.
Develops models to address specific business needs and problems by leveraging local and cloud based solutions, data, databases and integration systems and practices.
Applies interdisciplinary skills to assist with identification of any performance problems or gaps in functional coverage presents findings and makes recommendations to internal and/or external clients.
Provides strategic guidelines to the delivery teams by understanding the overall ITS environment from the following perspectives:
o Cloud provider capabilities
o Data system performance and scalability
o Data integration and ingestion standards
o Solution upgrades and roadmaps
o Technological risks
Provide both pre-and post-training for members of the Data and Analytics team
Required Experience:
BA in CS or MIS, or equivalent work experience in cloud and data systems management.
Microsoft Certified: MCSE: Business Intelligence Certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Looking for a contractor who is fully versed with Microsoft Power BI
Flexibility in thought and ability to influence and negotiate to achieve consensus.
Experience managing cloud hosted infrastructure/services and orchestration/automation tools. Looking for someone who is comfortable moving between the cloud and on premise.
Experience in Big Data so that they can help create the vision for the future big data state. Would like contractor with vision, strategy, and path to help get them to big data in a few years.
Skilled with strategy, application, and implementation of enterprise scale IT solutions.
