Application Architect, Mehoopany, PA 12 mth+ contract
Description
The account is seeking an onsite application architect for a client facing initiative called Plant Application Remediation in the Mahoopany PA location. The resource will work with the local resources to prioritize, devise pragmatic solution to resolve known risk areas with non-IT applications for the following subjects: application management, service operations, and IT availability. In addition to having strong client facing skills, this resource must collaborate and coordinate with DXC onsite resources at each client site, as well as, security and regulatory compliance assessment teams. This role will need to work in the client’s location. Travel costs are not to reimbursed.
The application architect is a senior technical resource with broad and deep IT experience. This resource must be self-directed, able to communicate to non-technical and technical personnel, has strong investigative skills to overcome ambiguity. The resource is expected to quickly grasp the business and technical domain to become productive and to provide recommendations that balance risk and return on investment.

Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor''s Degree, or equivalent experience with a degree in the following areas: Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study and over 8 years of previous experience.
Preferred:
Master''s Degree
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Required:
6+ years of application architecture/Infrastructure experience including creation of architecture diagrams
12+ years of IT experience
8+ years of development experience (e. g. , J2E, . Net, etc
Working knowledge of ITIL, database, web technology, and commercial software
Strong written and oral communications skills
Must be a team player
Preferred:
Experience with application security
Experience working in manufacturing environments
Experience with operational technology
