Senior Data Architect/ETL Developer will be a leader in a variety of responsibilities important to the implementation of our new data platform, including the design, build, and maintenance of warehousing processes. This includes design and development of ETL jobs, data modeling, and scripting. You will work very closely with our product managers and business intelligence analysts to ensure all requirements are well understood and that your solutions are designed and developed to meet those specifications. This candidate must be able to demonstrate strong working knowledge of Python and SQL languages as well as feel confident when tasked with performance tuning databases/ETL scripts. Responsibilities:
Architect and develop world class ETL integration processes.
Architect, design and deliver scalable data warehouse solutions using Amazon Redshift.
This role includes understanding the current system, analyzing and providing solutions by leveraging your technical and domain experience to facilitate the creation of ETL processes.
Understanding business requirements and map them to technology solutions.
Must be self-motivated and have the desire and ability to research and recommend new industry solutions and tools.
Provide subject matter expertise to support reporting needs for the multiple functional areas.
Lead data modeling and database design and development.
Establish best practices in ETL and data warehouse design and implementation.
Qualification Requirements:
BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Advanced development experience creating/modifying/tuning SQL.
Advanced technical experience in ETL architecture, development and performance tuning.
Expert level knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL
Advanced development experience using Python.
High level of familiarity with Distributed Version Control (Git
Desired Skills and Experience:
Must join the team with a strong desire and willingness to grow a skillset in AWS Redshift.
Experience building data pipelines using Luigi.
Working knowledge of Docker.
Experience working with Agile development practices.
Administration and performance tuning experience in AWS Redshift or other SQL based technology (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
Tableau experience a plus.
Salesforce experience a plus.
Talend experience a plus.
