This candidate must have at least 9 years of IT experience and excellent communication skills.
Our client located in Quincy, MA is in need of a Sr. Network Engineer for an initial 8 month project with the strong chance of extension. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting a large network environment which will include upgrades, deployment, configurations with some design. In addition, strong troubleshooting, daily maintenance and face to face interactions/knowledge transfer with the customer will be a large portion of the engineer’s role.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Senior level Cisco Engineering experience within enterprise environments
o Implementation & configuration experience: Specifically, Cisco 4500/3750/6500 switches
o Nexus 2k, 5k, 7k, and 9k switches
At least some configuration design experience
o Experience/Knowledge of Cisco IOS
Must understand change management protocols and process
Troubleshooting multivendor environments
Strong Visio Network Diagram experience
IP address management and subnetting
CCNP certification
Excellent verbal communication for client facing knowledge transfers/Excellent documentation skills
Ability to work autonomously
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS:
CCIE certification
