Location: Dallas, TX.
Need to be GC/US US citizen (must be on our W2 or 1099)
This will be a 1, to 2, year contract role.

Job Description:
The position of AWS Engineer will be responsible for support, maintenance and ongoing improvement of cloud server environment in AWS. BBVA is in need of an AWS Engineer who can assist with AWS infrastructure administration and AWS architecture and design. Their AWS environment was built from the ground up and the web/mobile app is 100% hosted in their AWS environment. Someone that can help maintain the existing environment and make architecture changes to best practices in AWS.
Following are the Job requirements:
1. Be able to define infrastructure architecture in cloud environment. AWS experience is a must have.
2. Be able to automate infrastructure provisioning in Cloud environment. The candidate should have solid experience in maintaining “infrastructure-as-a-code” using tools such as CloudFormation for AWS.
3. Be able to implement infrastructure security principles and solutions in creating and maintaining cloud infrastructure. The candidate should have solid understanding and experience in infrastructure security, networking and routing. Candidate must be able to maintain the existing system.
4. Be able to define container based infrastructure solution in cloud. Docker or Kubernetes experience is desired.
5. Be able to setup and maintain CI/CD pipeline for automation of development and deployment activities. The candidate should have solid experience on Jenkins, GIT, Artifactory, Docker Repository, Gradle, Maven, Linux, Shell scripting.
6. Be able to integrate Cloud based infrastructure with in-house CI/CD pipeline. The candidate should have understanding of security of these infrastructure components
7. Be able to integrate test automation tools with Pipeline component.
8. Database backup administration is a plus. AWS takes care of it automatically, but this individual will need to have RDS backup experience.
9. Current environment is utilizing advanced services tools. Most important are SMS, SES, ECS, RDS.
Additional Information: Initial term is 24 months but there is a full expectation that this is an on-going contract.
There is an existing Engineer on-site acting as the DevOps engineer doing automation of deployment and infrastructure activities.
Work Environment: Despite being part of a large global organization the Dallas Creation Center is a R&D "like", start up "like" group that is driving cutting edge customer solutions. That said it has the open/collaborative feel that many Global Financial services offices do not.

The end client is obviously customers of BBVA bank, which this group serves BBVA Global which is based in Spain and has a customer base in Mexico, Turkey, Spain and South America.

Business Challenge:
Holistically the Dallas Creation Center driving initiatives to create better customer experiences and drive efficiencies. More specifically to this group they are building a platform to use predictive analytics to create solutions to improve customer experiences
EVP:
Simply put- They are doing some really cool, innovative work. Cutting edge AI, machine learning and the rest of the DCC is building a very complex customer platform that can be utilized in numerous countries with minimal manual customization. This will be a Green-Field DevOps role, meaning this engineer will be an intellectual part of developing the processes and procedures for the DevOps environment at BBVA. True ownership of a project utilizing the latest and great technology in DevOps.
Non-Technical Skills:
Must have passion and a great attitude
Spanish speaking would be a huge plus
